I am so sorry that I can't make the event on the 6th! I can't because I finally signed up for a sewing class I've long wanted to take, just for the fun of it. Just to dabble. There's something very freeing about being of an age/at a stage in life where you know you're not going to gain some big level of mastery or make a pursuit the center of your life. It's just not really possible. Not enough time left. It gives me a kind of permission to dabble that I didn't feel able to give myself earlier. What a gift.
Oh, just realized it's Monday, not Tuesday! (The photo says Tuesday.) Welcome to Portland, and now I just might see you. Love that you are going to be at Broadway Books--such a great little bookstore.
!!! Oh my God, Rita, you're right! I've triple-checked my calendar and swapped out that photo. Thank you for pointing that out! And let me just say...YOU TWO MUST MEET.
Oh boy. THANK YOU. I just got my very first watercolor set and I’m excited to try it. (I colored these in with water soluble markers.) Painting has never been of interest, but adding a little color to simple sketches? That feels fun and doable.
This was a great conversation! I’m going to get this book for my mom who just turned 70 and is in this new phase of life post retirement. Sounds like it could be beneficial at that stage, too!

It is indeed. I’m so sorry I’m going to miss you on Monday — but have an amazing class! (And please, tell your friends to come see me!)

OK, I'm putting Monday the 6th on my calendar 🙂 Had another tentative plan, but have been able to reschedule it. So looking forward to this!
Aw -- I can't wait to meet you!
Your sketches are beautiful! Seriously!

Absolutely. Thanks for watching, Sherisa! I hope your Mom enjoys the book.
